Two Half-day Conference Sessions to Explore High Margin Business Models for Photo

Reston, VA – The Graphic Arts Show Company (GASC) and Photo Imaging News have teamed up to offer a two-afternoon conference on high margin photo opportunities September 11 and 12, during PRINT 13 and co-located CPP EXPO, coming September 8-12, 2013 to Chicago’s McCormick Place.  The conference will also offer a luncheon on September 11 that will feature graphic communications industry executives discussing “The Power of Print.”

themed “High Margin Business Models for Photo,” the conference will explore how print service providers, photo businesses, quick printers, and specialty graphics providers can develop new business models for “the evolving photo imaging and emerging mobile photo market, integrating the latest marketing techniques and adopting new software approaches.”

Photo imaging opportunities are evolving and changing in the graphic communications industry,” says GASC President Ralph Nappi. “This conference will explore those high-margin photo imaging services and personalized photo products that can offer new opportunities for graphic communications professionals.”

The conference will open with an executive luncheon to which top management of local corporations are being invited.  Keynoter Jeffrey Hayzlett, well known best-selling author, marketing consultant and an analyst at Bloomberg News, will emphasize in his presentation how photos and print can boost returns on marketing investments. Additional program topics will include: “Photo Opportunities in the US and Worldwide”; “Using Apps Effectively for Mobile/Smartphones”; “Marketing as a Service – a New Concept”; “Personalization of Photo Products: Trends and Innovations”; and, “Personal Publishing – A Rapidly Developing Market Becoming More Competitive.”

Those who should attend include executives and managers from:

  • Specialty, social/portrait, and commercial print service providers
  • Independent, chain, and online retailers
  • Photobook/personalized photo product/software suppliers
  • Image output/binding/finishing equipment/consumables and systems manufacturers
  • Image workflow software providers

Also at PRINT 13, Photo Imaging News will use its booth as the venue for conference sponsors to offer “Ask the Expert” expert advice during all five days of the show.

The conference will take place on Wednesday, September 11 from 2:30-5:30 p.m., and Thursday, September 12 from 1:30-4:00 p.m. Advance registration, which includes access to the PRINT 13 and CPP EXPO show floor and the luncheon is $75; regular registration is $95.
